A Day of Leisure

Sunday......A day of rest and relaxation. On the rare occasion that I take the time to enjoy a day off, I like to start it out with something nice. I swore I would never be one of those people showing food on a blog. After all who really cares what I eat!! I realize I quickly have to hang my tail between my legs now.....

With a brunch like this, cooked by Rosemary, and Isabella joining us for some fresh air, it's impossible to keep it to myself. Unfortunately Isabella decided we weren't worthy of her face. For those of you who don't know her....her head is to the left. You can see her giving us the one eye (green dot)stare.

The picture on the left is the view from my deck looking into what we call the back 90. It's tons of plants ,a fig tree, a vegetable garden and herb garden.

Wouldn't it be nice to just lay out all day & maybe read a book or take a nap?

Not me, gotta go do something.....

Happy Father's Day

This being my first entry,I thought what better day then Father's Day to start. Figured I would do the loving child thing & say a word or two about the MAN!!

I have always looked up to my father , not because he was taller then me (except now age has done the shrinking thing to him and he looks up to me...HA!) but because he knows so much. He always has the answer to every question I ever ask him. As a child naturally I took what he said as truth, never wondering about the answer, always assuming it was correct. For all I knew he could have been making everything up as he went along. As I grew older I realized he is a smart man.

He taught me many things ,whether he meant to or not ....about the importance of family, making a commitment, my work ethic , along with the usual things honesty ,integrity ,appearance. One thing he surely didn't mean to teach me was being stubborn. I have him to partly thank that my business Tinsel Trading Company is a success. Why you might be asking ...... because he thought the odds were too much against me, which only made me dig in my heels more and prove him wrong & I did !!!

He moved to Florida a long time ago and I don't see him as much (N.Y. is my home) as I would like. Seems life has a way of getting in the way.

So I thought i would take this space to say I LOVE YOU and Happy Father's Day

LOVE
MARCIA
P.S. You gotta love a man who would wear a red apron or be photographed standing next to a jackass - not me, the donkey!!!
